"Traditional time-tested solution that has been ubiquitous for generations is an 'anomaly', claims man who promotes an imagined future solution that hasn't been made yet nor experimentally validated."

Sure, some tasks could definitely be done via an unrealized voice system that is (A) actually reliable (B) functionally handles all possible phrasings of questions and commands, and (C) only triggers when the correct human is speaking towards it... He admits we don't have that yet, so isn't it also too early to assume it'll increase driver-satisfaction or reduce accidents or be anything more than cheaper-to-manufacture?

Given what some other manufacturers are trying to do, it's also worth pointing out there's a limit: Imagine the utter insanity of having to constantly mumble at your car "turn left blinker on", "turn left blinker off", etc. Some controls exists physically for very good usability/kinesthetic reasons.

A hammer is not made better by having wifi, but if you make your living selling wifi, you will find ways to prove that wifi enabled hammers save lives and it's actually an immoral negligent crime not to mandate all hammers be wifi enabled by law for the children.

The wronger you are, the more critical it is to double down.
