    I feel like the biggest barrier to some of this stuff isn't the ability to mix and match, but just the difficulty of evaluating any particular setup. Perhaps what I really need is a service that will scan the biomechanics of my hand.

    Without that, I'm afraid that the mouse that is judged "most ergonomic" is going to be whatever is closest to what I already use, even if it actually isn't.
