Given that some of the regulators referenced in the article are under threat of being eliminated, is it reasonable to expect that we may be receiving more of these types of messages in the future? Recently a local candidate for public office (who did not win their election) stated that they believed racist or fraudulent mass texts were protected under freedom of speech. Perhaps they were more prescient than I thought.
