Potentially high reward for co-operating and making a deal, or they could just end up in prison and gain nothing if the victim decides to screw them over
It seems the victim has a strong incentive to keep the prosecutor out of the way themselves.... but they have already filed a police complaint (which seems like a really easy one to solve).
I'm hoping because basically this is my plan for winning the lottery, I'd hate to think I'd wasted all my hopes on a delusion.
